What modifications need to be done on a 400 turbo behind a blown 540 Chevy in a 3500 lb. car to live as a street/strip vehicle?

Bill,

Where to start? This is a lot of car and a lot of motor! This will need a stout 400, when we say street/strip, we have to make it strong enough for the strip. The street driving is no problem other then the heat. For street driving, you must have a temperature gauge and a large transmission cooler, bigger then a 34 element and a lot of surface area = clutches and lots of them. Our Vasco 400 is this transmission; there are many modifications and special components incorporated into this unit. This is a brutally strong transmission for heavy cars with a lot of torque.
