Check Out That Chassis

Is there a class for motorcycle powered dragsters and funny cars available today in IHRA or NHRA? If so what do the chassis guidelines need to be?

Dan Ramos, SW Florida

Dan,

Yes NHRA and IHRA will let you run a motorcycle powered dragster in brackets and S/C or Q/R, but it must meet the same spec for the cockpit area that is in both rule books for dragsters. This is all done for safety. It will still be a very light weight car. We make a very easy to assemble dragster kit, every tube is cut, notched, and numbered to the prints, just like building a model, only this is the real deal.
