The Finished Product
ext up is the final assembly of the RHS 200cc aluminum heads. I did “cc” the combustion chambers with the Ferrea valves installed and they checked in at 57 ½ cc’s. I gave all of the valve seats a quick touch up with a stone just to make sure they were all concentric (they were) and then a good final cleaning.

For valves I selected some very high quality pieces made by Ferrea Racing Components. I use Ferrea valves in my customer engines and have never had a valve fail. That is saying something. For a high spring pressure roller cam application such as this I use the Ferrea Comp Plus series. The intake (#F2253P) is a 2.055” by 5.160” long and the exhaust (#F1140PQ) is a 1.600” by 5.160” long highly polished valve. These valves are almost too
pretty to use! The exhaust valve has a nice radius on the leading edge to the margin and a factory back cut. The intake is also polished like a mirror and has a factory back cut. Most importantly they flow good and will not break!
The valve springs that will be controlling all of these components are made by Comp Cams (#26115) and are part of their Endurance series of springs, which are made from superior materials and are used quite often in Dirt/Late Model applications. I set them up using the spring seats that came with the RHS heads at 1.980” installed height with no extra shims required, and this gives 272 lbs. of seat pressure and 690 lbs. at .750” lift.
