DUFF MAN!
Great article on Jack Duffy [by Ro McGonegal}. Jack was my Uncle and my friend. You captured the essence of him beautifully. He was the most compassionate, kind and fun loving person I have ever known. He made people feel important and special.
Thanks.

WHAT’S THE PRICE?
Jeff, I was just wondering to one of your comments.
"Just Wondering: If the NHRA is really serious about bringing new sponsors into the sport, why were new Pro sponsors such as Mike Edwards’ Penhall deal, James Day’s new Top Fuel Records sponsor, Dexter Tuttle’s Vis Viva sponsor, Jim Dunn’s Canidae pet food sponsor and, perhaps most importantly, Bob Tasca III’s Quick Lane (Motorcraft) sponsor never mentioned? I watched the Saturday and Sunday Phoenix NHRA broadcast and for the second straight broadcast didn’t hear any of those company’s names mentioned."
As mentioned a few times in Agent 1320 when a racer or team announces a new sponsor "I wonder how long before company x is named as official supplier to the NHRA". Is the NHRA "using" its racers to bring in new companies and then only giving them air time if they spend x amount to be the "official" NHRA supplier? What does it cost company x to become "the official NHRA supplier”? Is that what it takes to get relevant air time?

A BARGAIN AT TWICE THE PRICE?
Just wondering why [ex-New York governor} Elliot Spitzer spent 80 large on ladies. Probably couldn't afford nitro anymore.

STAYING NOSTALGIC
Very nicely stated, Jeff. I couldn't agree more. I enjoy covering nostalgia events so much more than big show events. And, like you, I will still be at some big show events, but my heart and soul belong to Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars.

BUT YOU CAN'T MAKE HIM THINK
Amen. Great for drag racing as you stated. And like Oddy said, having the sanctioning body actually acting like they are happy to see you goes a long, long way. Hopefully, the HRAs will pay attention. I bet the IHRA does, not so sure about the NHRA.
