HDP II

Well, the Deal of the Century is over, without taking place. I hope the hierarchy at NHRA will get to the task of drag racing, and stop trying to figure out ways to shirk responsibility. If Tom can't handle the heat, he should resign and go sell shoes. I always did think that was a jacked up deal anyway. I am a little peeved at PRO for not taking a stand and saying what everyone else was saying, "That the whole thing stunk". But I guess that's how they are. Don't make waves, take the easy way out. Now I hope Bruton Smith causes some anxiety in the NHRA. It is definitely time for a big enema in Glendora!

Just wondering if the good old boys at the main office have a blanket sized crying towel? I am sure from Mr. Light up they had the money all set and counted!

As they say, that’s drag racing!

Being alive as long as me and being pretty well versed in scams and the big deals and pyramid schemes I could see this coming down the road. I hope the fans will take it well when the Lucas money dries up. There is just no way they can sell that much product. When it hits it will look like the great pyramids of Egypt crumbling.

Concerning Bruton Smith's possible purchase of the NHRA and IHRA: Bruton Smith is an astute businessman. Unlike Billy Meyer before him, he won't allow his opinions to get in the way of his profits. Bruton will do whatever it takes to make money, even if it means listening to the fans. Now that would be a novel approach! I'm voting yea.

SAVING SCREENS AND DRAG RACING

I just got around to installing the new screen saver and just had to say thank you. I really enjoy it. Your site is always the first one I go to every day, I truly enjoy reading all three of your sites. Yes, even the Mopar one. How about doing a more in-depth read about what is involved in running E85 on a fresh build as well as doing a convert from regular pump gas?

Thanks a lot for all that you and your staff do for drag racing.

Thanks a lot!
