Jeff, I must be losing it! I actually agree with everything you said in your latest column. Nice job.

TV SHOW NOT WORTH AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS

I get tired of spending hard earned money for the luxury (for me) to watch two hours of NHRA drag racing on ESPN, without actually hearing much in the way of thundering engines, due to the incessant voice-over commentary of over-the-hill racers.

I'm also annoyed with the many "watch us, we're great" self adverts and equally annoyed at the pitiful motorcycle drag racing coverage

FIRST YOU HAVE TO GET THEIR ATTENTION

GREAT editorial about safety! How long did it take the NHL to require helmets? Too long, actually. I truly do hope that the Russell lawsuit goes forward and knocks some sense into Glendora. His loss was completely avoidable! Shame, shame, NHRA and Coca-Cola.

Perhaps some competition in making the slicks. Maybe Firestone, Toyo, M&H and Hoosier would be interested. Fresh ideas could turn this around.

And I do agree about making the wings smaller and the frame rails thicker. Should be a no brainer for anyone...

Thanks again, Jeff. Keep Glendora churning in their seats. And keep us all informed about the possibility of new ownership. I truly believe that will be the only way for NHRA to grow.
