WHEW< WHAT A GREAT LINE OF PATTER OR OH NOW WE'RE BLUSHING. . .

Jeff, hats off to you and your fabulous site! I wanted to convey my appreciation to you for your fabulous site; it has become part of my daily routine. (You know, like checking my messages...or tweezing my nasal fur...though infinitely more enjoyable.)

You are (in my not-so-humble opinion) not just a breath of fresh air, but a lone voice of insightful and delightful brilliance shining like pearls before swine in a sea of caustic unproductive whiners - sniping, back-biting negativity and mind-less robotic queue-forming crowd-followers. (wait...what the Hell is that un-godly noise? Oh, it's just the smoke-alarm in your colon going off...in that case I will continue.)

I'm 51 years old and drag racing has been my passion since 1961, I have announced at tracks, hosted TV shows, talked up the sport as the host of a dozen different radio morning shows and generally devoured every scrap of drag-racing related information that has passed by my pupils over the last 45 years so I am as well-versed as anyone on the ebb and flow of the fortunes of the sport.

I am being serious though Jeff, I am sure that many others have the intelligence, sensitivity and insightful free-form thought patterns (how can you tell that I'm a motivational speaker) to realize the wisdom in your call to action, your frustrated pleas for the powers that be to give a truly objective look at the State of the Union and have the guts to apply the logic and common sense to make the changes needed to curb the escalation of cost without curbing the entertainment value.

The sport is sitting either at a cross-roads or smack dab in the middle of a window of opportunity and I'm sure you must occasionally feel like a lone voice in the wilderness, wringing out that one last drop of creative juice and thinking why do I even bother.

This is just to let you know that it is not only heard, but appreciated. In this much-vaunted new millennium it's refreshing to hear anything that comes from the heart and not just from the wallet.

You are serving an important service and for that I thank you (from the heart of my bottom). Keep up the awesome work, Jeff!
