WHAT’S WRONG WITH BOWLING GREEN?
Am I the only one upset with the NHRA decision to move the Hot Rod Reunion from Bowling Green to Columbus? Only the NHRA could make the decision to move such a great and proven event to a new venue. Did they not try it there (Columbus) before and
score a total flop? Is the traffic and people problem the real issue? I think not!!!!!! Perhaps financial gain outweighs the real idea for a reunion.
I have been to both tracks, and with no offense to Columbus, there is no better track for any nostalgia event than Bowling Green, Ky.
I hope the new Hot Rod Reunion location is successful for the sake of all the nostalgia racers. I also hope the fine folks at Beech Bend will promote their own reunion of hot rods for all of us who really know how great the event was at their track.
Yes, I am a NHRA member. Yes, I have attended all the Hot Rod Reunions. Will I attend the Columbus Reunion? Probably NOT!!!

‘GOAT TRACK WAS BAAAAAD
There was little racing this past weekend at Virginia Motorsports Park, hereafter referred to as GOAT (GOd Awful Track). The right lane, as anyone who tried to take more than 1,000 horsepower down it, was abysmal. The entire first round was "full pass in left lane, tire smoke in the right lane." I know that there is no such thing as two equal lanes, having run down a few myself, but this was ludicrous. I sincerely hope they have to resurface the old GOAT before next year. Lane choice is one thing, but knowing it's a "kiss of death" by losing lane choice is another. GOAT isn't what racers are accustomed to seeing. It resulted in the most lopsided racing I've seen in a long time.
