TOPS IN TOWING

Thanks for a good story. We all have them, but that one tops mine any day.

...AND WEAR CLEAN UNDERWEAR

Well, did you have fun? My mother always asked me the same question and even if we had a disastrous weekend away and the engine was full of holes in all of the wrong places the answer was a resounding YES. There is nothing better than racing against your peers regardless of what class you race, it is even better if you win, but it is always FUN!

When the fun stops it is time to give it away and do something else, I hope the fun never STOPS!

MORE GAS!

Would love to see gassers come to race tracks all over the USA, like Route 66, the Grove, Byron. It would be soooooo coooooooooool

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

I'm a long time Drag Race Fan and watch the NHRA every time it’s on. My favorite cars are still nostalgia and the alcohol cars.

I think that as far as the actual coverage of the NHRA by ESPN is very good, their air timing sucks! In case you hadn't noticed, them losers as I call them, almost on a weekly basis delay the advertised air time with a stick and ball affair or scrabble game. I personally do not care what time of day them losers decide to air the Drags, they just need to pick a time and stick to it. Please don't take my word for the fact that they are almost always late, please tune in and check it out for yourself.

Also please urge your readers to call Coke and Powerade at 1-800-438-2653 and register a complaint.

They cam also call Mac Tools and do the same at 1-800-622-8665.

They will have to ask for the advertising dept and kind of explain the nature of their call (that’s what I had to do).

Thanks for your help and let’s bring this annoying practice to an end.

SUPPORT YOUR SPORTSMEN

I love the Fuel cars, but I go to see the whole show. Fri-Sat crusing the pits and never leave the stands Sunday (except for a beer and bathroom run).

I would love to see some older cars at national events, ‘60s-‘70s show during a event weekend. But the sportsmen are the backbone of NHRA, and I also want to see them.

BUT WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE?

What’s the deal on the teams not in the top eight, do they race? Do the sponsors back off the money? What is all the poop on this countdown now, I am a fan of some of the racers not in the top 8!

IF I SAID YOU HAD A GREAT BODY...

How can I get a hold of magness palm with the goldish blown car with the partially red hood on it? I would like to find out who made that body. It looks like a 51 Chevy...

LADY LUCK

That could have been me with my luck and it still hasn't changed or gotten any better... Great shot of the ‘33 Willys on your cover... The light was perfect for reflecting colors.

Your friend for life,

GLAD TO HELP

Hey guys, thanks for the shot of my dad, Doc Sipple. Just the simplest of things give a boost.

NOSTALGIA LOVE

Thanks for the great write up on the Willys Home Run/Gasser Shootout.  There were 52 Nostalgia Gas (race only) cars entered, 44 unblown, plus 8 blown.

Plus there were another 30 Home Run entries in the Street gas and comp classes that didn't meet the rules for Nostalgia Gas.

Finally there were over 50 Willys, Anglia, Austin and Henry J street rods and work in progress entries.

I'll bet we have double the blown cars in ‘08.  Hope we'll see you then... or at the CHRR in October.
