"NHRA sells its Pro Series to HD Partners Acquisition..." Wow! Maybe now, infused with new cash and a fresh perspective, professional NHRA drag racing will achieve its full potential. I hope Mr. Hartenstein and his new crew will pull out all the stops and look the professional show over from top to bottom, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to elevate nitro racing to the level it deserves. The world's quickest, loudest, most bone-shaking sport deserves nothing less. This is a very rare opportunity for the NHRA...let's hope they don't squander it! Mr. Compton - let the horses run!

You really scared me - Thinking about IRP being bull dozed into a plot of (house seeds) - But that won’t happen and you missed the reason why - IRP's big money maker is the Oval - (NASCAR SIZE MONEY). If they got the drag strip - they got the oval too...?
This deal stinks. Compton & his cronies have been straight face lying for years & here's the final proof...Compton gets to sit on a board and make more millions....He's so cool and he has done SO MUCH for NHRA drag racing.
(This deal will take drag racing to the next level). YEAH...HOW?
Did the new group also take over NHRA'S side in the Julie Russell lawsuit?
I wonder if this is a legal beagle smoke & mirror show to get out of that deal?

How many NHRA employees are going to retire this year; how many ways can you split $121 million?

They will squeeze more money out of the spectators and the racers and spectators will get nothing new. There will be no better purses or points funds as long as cars show up for the peanuts.
These people will not understand racing they will only understand bottom line.
The best that can be said is that this will probably bring closer the END. The end of NHRA style racing and a new beginning.

Do you think that "a" reason they sold/split is to protect themselves from lawsuits? Do you think the Darrell Russell suit had any part in this? Just an idea.
