The Pacific Street Car Association held their Las Vegas Nationals on April 27-29 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
John Mihovetz (far lane) of Ontario, CA, got the Pro Street win in his turbo 2002 Cougar with a 6.675/213.40 when Gil Nevarez had trouble with his ’67 Camaro and could only manage an 11.532 ET. Earlier in the competition Nevarez had a best of 6.911 at 213 mph.

John Mihovetz (near lane)
made the quickest pass of the day with a
6.621/213.13 against John Scialpi’s ’57 Chevy. Milhovetz’s tubocharged engine only has 285 c.i.
Steve Paulauskis qualified No. 1 with a 6.619/219.51. The WFO Racing ’04 Cavalier is sporting a new paint scheme.
Former AHRA champ
Randy Hagerty qualified his nitrous-aided ’66 Corvette in third place with a 6.792/209.72. Half of the twelve qualifiers used nitrous oxide injection, four had turbo’s and three were supercharged.
