Nostalgia Series Finishes Season
The weekend of Nov. 10-11 was the 2007 American Nostalgia Racing Association Finals at the Auto Club Famoso Raceway and it began with a season high 220 cars on the hallowed grounds of the Bakersfield, CA, facility known as “The Patch.”
Saturday morning led off with two rounds of qualifying, followed up by the make up rounds from the rain shortened (did I say rain?) Cool August Nights event. First rounds of qualifying produced mixed results across the various classes, but come second round the times began to tighten and racers jockeyed for qualifying positions.

In the late afternoon the finals of the make up rounds began and the competition became fierce and the round wins hard-fought. In the end, the winners for the Cool August Night event were Dave Matson in A/G, Ken Moore in B/G, Red McGuiness in C/G, Dave Mallory in D/G, Dave Ward in NE1, Cecil Molina in NE2, Joe Delmos in NE3, Paul Gonzalez in Hot Rod, Bob Hudson in Sportsman and Dave Burgess in Open Wheel.
