Saturday night’s Cacklefest brought out some 80 beautiful vintage and recreation racers during the twilight hour. Many more Cacklecars were fired-up for spectators at various times over the three-day event, and there was even a nitro drag boat on display in the pit area.
For 2008 there will be a five-race, West Coast “Heritage Series” starting at the 50th Anniversary March Meet and closing out at the 17th California Hot Rod Reunion. Stops for the new series are being considered at California Dragway in Fontana, Rocky Mountain Raceway in Salt Lake, Firebird Raceway in Boise and a possible event at Southwestern International Raceway in Tucson.
