On Saturday, Jeff Spierling took his I-39 Raceway Park dragster to the title over long-time MSCA mascot Rich Kwasiborski in another double-breakout match. weekend, low qualifier Mitch Meier.

Friday Super Stock/Stock Eliminator honors were earned by “the other” Greg Anderson in his Iowa H/SA ‘69 Camaro over Tracy Reeder’s Illinois I/SA ‘83 Camaro. Saturday’s titlewas taken by Iowa killer Jerry Stealy’s G/SA ‘86 Camaro against Rob Turkal’s J/S ‘80 Camaro. Tom Lindle’s magnificent ‘55 Bel-Air first beat Ed Weets for the Electronics Saturday title and then stopped Michale Roppo’s white ‘90 Trans Am for the Overall Championship. Roppo had defeated CDP cash monster Steve Klemme in the Non-Electronics final.

Lou Rausch wheeled his 8.1-second Beretta past Pat McGlynn’s dragster in Top Eliminator for his first major victory. CDP killer Travis O’Bryan pushed his ‘77 Nova past Jim Fitzpatrick’s slick ‘65 Barracuda to the Super Eliminator title. Denny Rankin’s Trans Am inched past buddy Mark Rosenbohm’s Corvette for the True Street Eliminator cash. As usual, it was an all-Klemme Motorcycle Eliminator final with Steve winning on Mike’s redlight. Garrett Humphrey won Sunday’s Novice Junior Dragster trophy over defending champ Ashley Guenther. Emily Weets won Friday’s Junior Dragster Eliminator and Sunday’s Super Junior Eliminator. Afton Harvey’s “Lion Cub” machine earned the Saturday Junior Dragster Eliminator title over Taylor Troxell.

DRO’s own “Mr. Dirt,” Bret Kepner, took the Trophy Eliminator hardware (for the second year in a row) in a tight battle with Jim Quinn’s ‘85 Buick Regal.
