Matt Dymock’s ’68 Nova (left) had the tail shaft come loose after a small wheelstand despite running an earlier 9.98.
The unique Cleveland powered short wheel base Land Rover of Chad Taylor (right) was the stand out entry in the Gas class. He qualified with a 9.94 but fell to a losing 10.24 in the first round.

power and recorded a 14.63 in qualifying but bowed out in round one.
Allen Abini couldn’t get his Falcon down the track thanks to a number of wheelstands in qualifying.
