Phil Read was running the ex-Dave Grubnic Kalitta Motorsports car and he ended up top qualifying, running low ET of the event and took a win in the final over Bob Shepherd 4.77/316.60 to 4.99/284.93.
Despite running back to back 6.09's in the first two rounds of Top Doorslammer, Robin Judd’s 6.12 turned out to be not enough when opponent, Brett Stevens' 6.17 was linked to a holeshot for the win.
Sydney racer Bob Shepherd ran his first four in Friday qualifying and then ran another in the final, though his 4.99 was no match for winner, Phil Read.
