DRAW BRINGS FUN FILLED EVENT TO TEXAS!

This year was the first year in SIXTEEN years that I have missed the NHRA U.S. Nationals. The NHRA U.S. Nationals is the granddaddy of all drag racing events. I felt like something was missing being home over the Labor Day weekend. I recovered from the shock of missing the event and have been preparing for the upcoming September events. The most exciting activity that takes place during the month of September for D.R.A.W. is the annual D.R.A.W. Dallas auction. Originally the event was a fashion style show and auction. In more recent years it has become a fun filled auction and an event where those companies and individuals are recognized for their contributions to D.R.A.W.
Last year Bob Frey was one of the members of the industry who were honored during the Dallas auction at the NHRA O’Reilly Nationals held September 20th to 23rd in Ennis, Texas. You will have to stay tuned to find out what companies and industry members will
be honored during this fun filled Texas event. (See information below pertaining to the DRAW Auction to be held in Dallas, Texas.)
On a separate note remember to pay tribute to your grandparents on National Grandparents Day. National Grandparents Day originated with Marian McQuade, a housewife in Fayette County, West Virginia. Her primary motivation was to champion the cause of lonely elderly in nursing homes. She also hoped to persuade grandchildren to tap the wisdom and heritage their Grandparents could provide. President, Jimmy Carter, in 1978, proclaimed that National Grandparents Day would be celebrated every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. For 2007, Grandparents Day falls on September 9th. There are several grandparents whom reside on the DRAW Board of Trustees. It is always enjoyable to learn from someone who has such wisdom and insight on life.
