REMEMBERING ERIC MEDLEN!
ust the other day, in preparation for Easter, I stumbled across a prayer by Reinhold Nibur, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.”
This prayer is particularly helpful with the passing of John Force team member, Eric Medlen. It is always difficult to lose a member of the drag racing community, but it is even more difficult to accept the loss of someone who was so young and talented, with such a bright future and full of life. It is something that we all find very difficult to accept.
Last September Eric donated his time to benefit D.R.A.W. during an autograph session at
the NHRA U.S. Nationals. Eric truly impressed me by how personable and genuine he was with his fans. There is no doubt that Eric has touched the lives of so many people who will remember him for years to come.

The reality is that few people are able to achieve the level of success and touch the number of lives that Eric has touched. Not to mention working under a legend such as John Force, that is just amazing. While he left this world way too soon he accomplished so much during his life. As the drag racing season continues Eric will be missed, but he will remain in our hearts, minds, thoughts and prayers.
