Saving his very best for last, Tucson’s Kevin Rotty drove the new Rells-Manchester Camaro above to runner-up at the NHRA Winternationals in

Pomona, Calif., during early 1980s competition. Jack Manchester was a San Diego Pro Stock racer who had help from neighbor Willie Rells in building the new car. Kevin used power from Frank Townsend’s Racing Works in Tucson. The team lost the final run to the popular Reher-Morrison entry from Dallas, Texas.
