Schneider gets BIG AIR at Monster Mopar Weekend

Chris Schneider, DRO’s Nostalgia Super Stock guru and part time driver for car owner John Troxel and tuner Roland Leong, got some serious air time in the Nostalgia Alky Funny when the wheelie bars broke on the second pass the team made at last weekend’s Monster Mopar Weekend at Indy when the ex-Della Woods AA/FC went ballistic.

In the second shot you can see the wheels still in the air and the body resting on the supercharger.

“The body falling on the supercharger caused the throttle to stick wide open.  I was working the brake handle and shutting off the fuel at the same time,” said Schneider. The Agent wonders what Roland Leong was saying. (Dennis Mothershed photos) [9/24/2012]

MT Tires DRO AA/FC Challenge series records set at Tulsa Raceway Park

Marc White, driving the Fred Mandoline-tuned “Flashback” AA/FC, set the new Series record at 5.707 at the just completed Nitro Nationals at TRP. But there were a couple of other unofficial records set at that race.

White and John Hale had the quickest side-by-side race in series history when Hale ran a 5.711 and White a 5.707. White also has the dubious honor of having the quickest losing ET in series history as his 5.707 was a losing effort.  (Jeff Burk photo) [9/24/2012]
