ADRL removes Bubba Corzine from Texas Motorplex

Former NHRA Comp Eliminator World Champ and former VP of Competition for the American Drag Racing League  Bubba Corzine was given a police escort out of the Texas Motorplex racing complex near  Ennis, Texas, earlier today.

Corzine, who is friends with many of the racers at the event and has been connected to the Texas drag racing scene for many years, had purchased a ticket to the ADRL race and was visiting with racers at the event.

The Agent spoke to Corzine by phone and he said, “I asked the police what the problem was and they said they had no idea, they just had orders to escort me from the premises and that if I returned I could be charged with criminal trespass.”

Corzine is now affiliated with the new Adrenaline Drag Racing Series. Could that be part of the problem? On or off the track, Pro Mod racing is always entertaining and never dull. (file photo) [10/19/2012]

ADRL Pro Stock drivers fund their own Battle of the Belts

We have more news out of the Dallas ADRL race already. Seems the Pro Stock racers got together and had this belt made and are putting up their own money ($10K) to run an eight-car Battle of the Belts. They will pair up in qualifying in the second session.  (Joe McHugh photo) [10/19/2012]
