Halloween comes early to Boise’s Firebird Raceway
Racers from eleven states and two Canadian provinces have registered for the NAPA Auto Parts Halloween Classic event held through Oct. 14 at Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho.
There’s plenty of action including the Club Runoffs, multiple bonus races, and the Junior Classic, a specially recognized showcase race on behalf of the NHRA Junior Drag Racing League. Plus, it boasts the second biggest sportsman payday next to the Pepsi Nightfire of the entire season with $45,000-plus in cash and merchandise.
The Classic is home to the third annual NHRA State Championship for Idaho, and racers get an extra opportunity to chase a title and an NHRA Wally in Super Pro, Pro, Heavy, Sportsman and Sled/Bike that will only happen once this year. Both of Sunday’s Junior champions will also be recognized as State Champions and win Junior Wally trophies.
After the Halloween Classic, the Last Blast Test Day is on Oct. 27 and then the track is done until next April.
