Billy Gordon of Bedford, Va., drove his 2004 Ford Mustang past the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro of Steve Howard in the final round Sunday, Oct. 3, to win the featured Alltel Outlaw 10.5 title at the annual Holcomb Motorsports Fall Civil Wars event at Rockingham Dragway.
The No. 2 qualifier behind Newton’s Mark Swanson, Gordon was flawless in eliminations, posting quick time of 4.417 seconds in the second round before throwing a 4.486 at Howard in the final round.
