And on a related note, we hear from former Super Chevy Show chief Roger Gustin
that he will be building a new jet Funny Car with a Camaro body. Gustin says
it should run low 4’s at 335 mph. He reminded the Agent that he got his
first NHRA license to race jets 35 years ago this week. (DRO

He’s baaaaackk! After a 30-year hiatus from driving, Jim Oddy has returned to the track with ‘33 Willys AA/GS. He returned to the driver’s seat at the Goodguys Friday Night Drags at zMax Dragway last weekend to get his competition license renewed. We don’t know for sure if he made the required six laps, but he did make a few including one where it is rumored he made a 330-foot burnout with the small block-powered gasser. We haven’t got any numbers but we will bring them to you as soon as they can pry him out of the cockpit of the ‘33 to talk to the Agent.
