ELLIS LENDS A HAND TO McCLENATHAN TF TEAM

In a display of the camaraderie that exists between Don Schumacher Racing teammates, Schumacher Electric Suzuki Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Chip Ellis was on hand at Bristol Dragway to help out the FRAM Top Fuel crew. The bikes weren’t running at Bristol and Ellis also served as color commentator during Saturday's final qualifying session along with NHRA track announcer Bob Frey.

"Our team works next to the FRAM team at the DSR shop in Indianapolis and we've become good friends," said Ellis, who was at the race with his wife Kathy and daughter McKenzie on his weekend off from NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle competition. "I was in Knoxville, Tenn., picking up my boat and I decided to come to the track and give the guys a hand. I've just been changing tires and cleaning out oil pans and that kind of stuff. It's a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot."
