CRITCHLEY CHARGED

A special grand jury has indicted Troy Critchley on six counts of vehicular homicide due to recklessness (Class C Felony) and 22 counts of reckless aggravated assault (Class D Felony).

The charges stem from a June 16, 2007, crash during a "Cars for Kids" charity event in Selmer, TN. Six people died and 22 were hurt when Critchley’s car went out of control during a burnout on the street and went into the crowd.

Critchley surrendered to authorities at the McNairy County Justice Complex at the end of today's hearing and was booked. Bond was set at $35,000, and the trial is set for November 3, 2008. [3/20/2008]
